Hollow forms

Creating hollow forms is the ultimate woodturning challenge. Achieving a pleasant shape while hollowing out the interior of the vessel through a small opening is the pinacle of my woodturning skill I've worked on for the last six years. The wood blancs start out as wet logs which are initially turned thick, almost 1/2 inch in diameter, then they are allowed to dry for at least 6-9 months and then remounted on the lathe and turned to the final shape.
